Training with USSD Anthem is the perfect vehicle for self-improvement. Teen Karate training strikes the right balance of fun, challenge, and accountability. Through the intensity of training, our students build grit, initiative, and develop the mindset they need to pursue their goals and lead in their community. Students at USSD Anthem learn to speak up, and be heard.
At USSD Anthem, our Kids classes help students build character, improve focus, and develop discipline in a way that keeps them excited to learn. With engaging lessons and personalized attention, each child is encouraged to grow at their own pace.



Sensei Victoria Hetey brings over 35 years of martial arts experience to USSD, with training in Karate, Judo, Iaido (Japanese sword), and Shaolin Kempo. She has taught on both the East and West Coasts and has spent over three decades training under Dai Soke Richard Black. Her journey has taken her as far as the Shaolin Temple in China, deepening her knowledge and dedication to the art.
Passionate about serving her community, Sensei Victoria works with students of all ages and backgrounds, including homeschoolers, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. She leads women’s self-defense programs, weapons classes, and summer camps, creating an inclusive and empowering environment for every student.

Dai Soke Richard Black has trained in martial arts since 1971 and has spent more than 35 years teaching and mentoring students nationwide. As a leader within United Studios of Self Defense, he has helped shape generations of instructors and developed practical self-defense for students of all ages and abilities.
Promoted to Hanshi and later 9th Degree Black Belt at the Shaolin Temple, he continues to guide high-ranking black belts across the country.
